Membership's Report
I am happy to report that as of April 30, we have a total of 125 members as well as 10 subscribers to the TLC. (Subscribers are not JALT members, they only subscribe to our newsletter. You must be a JALT member to be a SIG member.)
A couple years ago we reached a high of 158 members. I'd like to see us reach a new high in the coming year, so please, tell your friends! Encourage other teachers of children to become JALT and TC SIG members. Promote the TLC! We have a wonderful, bilingual publication which is published four times a year and is chock full of great teaching ideas and activities!! Encourage others to subscribe if they cannot be a member!
Recently, NPO JALT National launched a new database that gives all membership chairs access to membership lists on a monthly basis, but has far better security for protecting member information. This has allowed us to follow membership trends more easily, remind members to renew promptly so as not to miss out on all the important and exciting happenings in JALT chapters and SIGs, and, for me especially, to also be able to send out the latest issue of the TLC as new members join.
