Program Director's Report

The TC SIG has been working on providing many opportunities for teachers
of young learners to learn and share and experience variety of effective
ways of teaching. Cur-rently, we co-sponsored the children’s con-ference
in Fukuyama and had over 60 teachers. We also have the conference in Kagoshima
annually, this year on June 22nd.

Now we are preparing for the JALT annual conference and JALT Junior on
November 1st and 2nd. Last year, we had a special guest, Carolyn Graham!
This year, Yoko Matsuka will be a Featured Speaker. We’re looking forward
to what she has to say. Besides the large number of informative and enjoyable
presentations, we have a quite popular session called Swap Meet where anybody
can share own ideas. If you would like to present a short (5-10 minute)
activity, please contact me program@tcsig.jalt.org.

For those who may and may not be able to attend our conferences and local
events, this TLC can be a good resource which has va-riety of articles
such as Carolyn Graham’s interview.
