Program Director's Report

The main thing I have been doing is trying to contact members of the TC SIG and their local JALT chapters in order to have more local JALT presentations on teaching children. This has been a lot more challenging to set up than I originally thought it would be, but I keep on plugging at it. At events where someone is presenting on teaching children, I've arranged to have TC SIG fliers in order to promote our group and hopefully, increase our membership. If you are making a presentation for a local JALT chapter on teaching children and would like to help promote our group, please contact me at program@tcsig.jalt.org and I’ll send some fliers to you.

JALT Junior is coming soon and I hope many of you submitted a vetted proposal for this year’s conference in Tokyo. I’m trying to organize a panel discussion on teaching at international kindergartens. This type of school has suddenly become very popular in Japan and many teachers are very curious about them. I’m looking forward to JALT Junior this year and hope to see you there!
