UPCOMING IMPORTANT TC-SIG NEWS AND EVENTS FOR FALL

Elections
For the first time in the TC SIG history, the elections will be held online at our webpage: www.tcsig.jalt.org. There are a few officer positions open for 2008, so please contact one of the officers by email if you are interested in finding out how you can get involved with the TC SIG. Voting will begin soon and an email will be sent out to all current TC SIG members once the ballot and candidate profiles are on the website. Of course, only current members of the TC SIG may vote. Voting will continue until November 10th and then the new officers will be announced on the website before the 2007 JALT Junior conference.

JALT Junior
The biggest event of the year is coming in November. This year, JALT Junior (a special conference within the JALT national conference) will be held on November 23 & 24, 2007, at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center in Tokyo. You do not have to be a JALT national member to attend. JALT Junior is ﾂ･8,000 if you pre-register by October 22 at conferences.jalt.org/2007/registration (you can even register by credit card!) or ﾂ･5,000 per day if you register onsite. We have a lot of great presentations this year 窶・I窶冦 pleased to report that during every time slot there is a bilingual or Japanese presentation. We will also have a panel discussion on International Pre-schools. Come and learn new ideas and meet the 窶徇overs and shakers窶・in the TEYL field!

Constitution Discussion
This year at the AGM meeting on Friday evening at JALT Junior, we will be ratifying the very important constitution for this group. We already have a discussion group online at groups.yahoo.com/group/TCSIG_Constitution/ and will have a meeting before the AGM to discuss the constitution.
